TNO uses sensors to detect vehicle emissions during drives (such as CO2 emissions) as part of the SEMS project. The client needed a flexible system that could gather, store and rapidly index millions of rows of data in real-time. The solution I built is now being used not just in the SEMS project but in several other sensor-based systems as well (like locomotives).
